David Impson

David Impson is a Vice President and Principal of Britt, Peters and Associates, responsible for managing the Structural Division in the firm’s Greenville office.  He has been involved with a variety of impressive projects including multi-family and high-rise buildings, and brings an innovative approach to the design of structural systems.   

A Registered Professional, Structural and Civil Engineer in five states from Florida to California, his expertise includes the development of structural systems for major commercial, industrial, healthcare and educational buildings, as well as long-span vibration analysis systems, and three-dimensional structural modeling.

With a B.S. in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Structural Engineering and a M.S. in Civil Engineering from Clemson University, David also taught a graduate-level Civil Engineering course at Clemson.  He is a member of the American Institute of Steel Construction, while also utilizing his construction expertise to assist at-risk youth through local organizations.
